Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Sunday’s trading session in the green, encouraged by the growth of six sectors.
By 9:55 am Kuwait time, the benchmark price index inched up 4.08 points, or 0.07%, to 6,782.88 points.
The weighted and Kuwait-15 indices edged up 0.21% and 0.20%, respectively.
Boursa Kuwait's turnover amounted to KWD 2.6 million after 12.9 million shares were changed hands through 576 transactions.
The oil and gas sector topped the market’s six gainers adding 0.6% as ABAR and the Energy House Holding grew 5.88% and 5.77%, respectively.
Similarly, the banking sector increased 0.34% on the back of Commercial Bank of Kuwait’s 2.33% hike.
Meanwhile, the real estate segment topped the bourse’s losers falling 0.17% after the Commercial Real Estate went down 3.85%.
National Bank of Kuwait’s (NBK) stock led the bourse in terms of trading volume with 2.3 million shares, generating KWD 1.8 million.
